|
|
I know that WeatherBug (and other weather apps) are updating on .328 for many people. For some reason, I am having a problem with WB Elite. Since moving from .323 to .328 my WeatherBug Elite icon just remains a BUG. It doesn't show temp or conditions on the icon, nor does it show the temp on the thermometer at the top of the screen. I tried uninstalling WB and reinstalling and reactivating it and then icon is still remains a BUG.
BerryWeather is updating fine (don't ask why I have both - they do different things well....)
Moving the icon around doesn't work, besides it is a different problem than what we were seeing on .323.....
Any suggestions?
I have put in my activation code and if I click on the WB icon, the app opens and functions normally. Just the icon is not changing from bug to weather.... |

Can you check the application permissions:
1) Open “Options”
2) Select “Advanced Options”
3) Select “Applications”
4) Highlight “WeatherBug”
5) Click the full menu
6) Select “Edit Permissions”
Is anything set to “deny”?
Please try the following:
1) Go to your BlackBerry "Options"
2) Go to "Security Options"
3) Go to "Firewall"
4) Click the full menu key (key to the left of the trackball)
5) Select "Reset Settings"
Restart the device. |

Thanks. I should have updated my post - I fixed the problem based on a suggestion on crackberry. The problem was indeed the permissions, even though they were all showing as "allow." By re-saving them, things started working.
